Meet Dr. FitSmiles
Dr. Hany Youssef is a board-certified orthodontist. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from USC, completed his residency in orthodontics at USC, and is currently a clinical adjunct professor for USC’s graduate orthodontics department.
Dr. Youssef brings to his practice a unique skill set that includes extensive experience in treating both children and adults with braces, Invisalign and also with the new innovative technology called “Inbrace”, which is braces from behind the teeth “lingual braces”. He is also bi-lingual and able to speak fluently in both English and Arabic.
An important note about InBrace – InBrace is new technology that allows the use of braces from behind the teeth. Dr. Youssef is one of the few orthodontists in Southern California who not only specializes in InBrace treatment, but who also teaches other orthodontists how to implement InBrace technology in their practices.
INBRACE improves on the most important aspects of orthodontic treatment and is hidden behind your teeth. It delivers quick results and is more comfortable. Fully Invisible: you can continue smiling normally while your teeth move to create the smile you’ve always wanted. INBRACE was designed to eliminate the most common challenges of working behind the teeth. INBRACE doesn’t require regular activation. Wire changes can take less than 5 minutes, the flexible interdental loops make wire insertion behind the teeth a snap, even when there is crowding. Predictable chair time for you, shorter and less frequent appointments for your patients. The interdental loops in the Smartwire allow patients to floss normally, where traditional braces do not permit. This leads to an improved oral hygiene, as you continue taking care of your teeth as you usually do.
Invisalign® is an orthodontic appliance system used to inconspicuously treat crooked and crowded teeth in adults and teens. This modern take on braces features a system of clear aligner trays that are worn at all times with the exception of during meals and when brushing or flossing. The trays are custom fitted to the teeth, making them virtually unnoticeable when laughing, talking, and eating with other people. Patients receive a sequence of trays, each of which is slightly different than the one before. The aligners provide a slight resistance to the teeth, forcing them to move into alignment over time. With Invisalign®, adults and teens can achieve the smiles they’ve always wanted without feeling self-conscious about the mode of treatment.
Dental veneers – also known as laminates – are used to cosmetically enhance the appearance of one or more teeth. Veneers are very thin, porcelain or resin shells that are customized for a desirable color and shape. They are bonded to the surface of the teeth to reshape broken, misshapen or irregular teeth, as well as provide a solution for discolored teeth that do not respond to traditional whitening treatments. Patients with veneers typically achieve a natural tooth appearance that is well-tolerated by the gums and also resistant to future stains.
Dental crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that are used to replace or restore damaged or missing teeth. Crowns – also known as caps – are fixed over the surfaces of natural tooth structures or dental implants. Bridges are used to fill in the gaps left by missing teeth and are anchored in place by the natural teeth or crowns nearest the empty space. Both crowns and bridges are non-removable and must be cemented in place by a licensed dentist. Patients who get crown or bridges to restore their smiles achieve both the function and appearance of natural, healthy teeth.

I ONLY recommend Dr. Youssef
If you're looking into improving your smile and dental health (and even your life!) I ONLY recommend Dr. Youssef! I started my braces elsewhere and I was not happy with how the treatment was going and how they would treat me. (I felt like I was just a number) I've had the pleasure of working with Dr. Youssef and would always see his passion for ortho and how he would always strive for perfection in his work. So I made the easy decision of starting over and starting treatment with him and I'm so glad I did. He treats his patients like family and he's so educational and walks you thru EVERYTHING!
I never left the office concerned over what was done or what the next step was. Last year I had my son start treatment as well and it's been the best experience for him. Thank you so much Dr. Youssef!
The smile I've always wanted
Today I completed my Invisalign treatment and I am extremely grateful to have had Dr. Hany Youssef as my orthodontist for the entire duration of my treatment. From day one, he has always been prompt on answering every question I had regarding the treatment, provided me with knowledge on what to expect, and outlined the next steps in my treatment. Not only did he give me the smile that I've always wanted but he made the process an enjoyable one and I am blown away by the outcome. Moreover, he has a true passion for his craft and his results truly reflect his talent! If you are ever searching for a smile transformation Dr. Youssef will exceed your expectations!
Dr. Youssef was recommended to me by a dental student at USC and his work has exceeded any expectations I had coming in.
I, like many others I know, had braces as a teenager and never wore my retainers after the braces came off. Understandably, my teeth had moved over time and it got to the point where I really wanted to correct what appeared to be minor movements in my teeth.
But, also like many others, I knew I would be paying for any treatment plan MYSELF, and needed to be sure I wasn't overpaying (or underpaying!) for orthodontics work. There are so many advertisements these days selling people Invisalign at a low cost that it's hard to know which avenue to take.
So I set up a free consultation with Dr. Youssef and had my questions ready: (1) would Invisalign even accomplish my goals? (2) what happens if we get to the end of the treatment plan and my teeth aren't exactly where I want them to be? (3) do you have a reliable network of doctors who can assist with gum reconstruction if Invisalign happens to recede my gum line or of doctors who can perfect my smile by fixing a chip in my tooth?
Dr. Youssef was honest and CLEARLY knowledgeable when I asked him all my questions. He assured me Invisalign would accomplish my goals and he was right - it has. Right now, I am in the "refinement" part of my treatment plan where Dr. Youssef gets to use his expertise to create a fleet of trays that will make my smile even more perfect than it already is.
The gum specialist and dentist who will be fixing a couple chipped teeth are ready and waiting to finalize my perfect smile.
Dr. Youssef's attitude and interactions are always pleasant and friendly, which makes visiting "the dentist" a little less scary. His administrative team is also incredibly flexible and will happily work with you when it comes to finances.
A final note to this review: Even if something appears to need only a "simple fix", chances are it requires more than you realize. As it turns out, my self-diagnosed "easy to fix" smile was not easy to fix at all because I have very strong canine teeth that are difficult to get in place. My point? If you think you need orthodontics work, make sure to get treated by an actual orthodontist - you won't regret it!
